Microsoft has released a PowerShell module for managing Active Directory (AD), which lets an admin manage AD from a PowerShell command-line interface. By moving the functionality to the command line, an admin doesn’t have to fool with the GUI (Graphical User Interface) anymore. Instead, this allows the admin to write automation around AD. This is a very powerful tool that can save organizations with large AD environments countless man hours managing various AD objects.
