Veeam Backup & Replication is a backup tool that uses an image created from a snapshot of a virtual machine (VM). Only blocks modified since the last backup are backed up and then compressed and deduplicated. A VM can be restarted directly from the backup file, thus avoiding the need for it to be extracted and restored. Conversion into a VM VMDK file can then be undertaken to restart production, thus considerably reducing the time required for the recovery process. SureBackup Recovery Verification automatically checks the restorability of the backup and the Universal Application-Item Recovery tool can be used to restore any virtualized application, independently of the operating system, without resorting to an additional backup tool or agent. Finally, the creation of a sandbox allows you to create VMs for the purpose of analysis, testing workarounds and installing system patches or applications.
